Discussion board
FORUM DESCRIPTlON Using the full case opinion of Wade v. Wal-Mart' Stores, inc. (found in the Discussion Boards Assignments Module and the Week 4 module in Learning Modules in Blackboard), list in detail and in your own words t he legal issues of this case. The legal issues are the questions the court considered (and answered) in its opinion. Maybe the easiest way to describe this assignment is to list the questions that the court considered, but not what the court decided on those questions. The legal issues are scattered from page 3 to the top of page 7 of the opinion. You should re-read the entire opinion before beginning this assignment. Do not copy the language of the _ . case opinion. Use the fuil court opinion, not the abridged opinion in the book. You should list the legal Issues, rather than using a paragraph structure. You do not need to include any other cases cited by the court or any of the court's judgments in regards to the case. Some examples may be helpful. For instance, in a constitutional law case, a legal issue might be: 'Was the plaintiff's First Amendment right to freedom of speech infringed upon by the defendant?' In a criminal case, an issue might be: 'Did the prosecution prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant had the requisite criminal intent to commit a battery?' Hint: there is more than one legal issue and less than ve legal issues in the Wade v. Wal-Mart case. Once you have completed your initial post containing a summary of the legal issues of this case in your own words, review your fellow students' posts and respond in a substantive way to one or more of those posts. Simple agreement is not enough -- you must provide comments and your opinion of their review of the legal issues of the case. The total possible points to be awarded for this assignment is 60 points, 45 based on the quality of your initial post and 15 based on the quality of your responses to other students' posts. Note: You must be respectful of each other and use proper grammar, sentence structure, and business-style English in this along with all other discussion board posts and other assignments in this class. Failure to behave with proper respect to each other or to the professor may result in expulsion from the course and an F grade
