Politics are every where. Do your job and move on. I think that's how it should be in most places. I understand when something happens and you go on strike or start signing petitions to get something changed. That's all political. Just like the Nurses that went on strike because they were forced to take the Covid vaccine, same with the military. Politics are going to be in your job if you like it or not. That's life... I find it wrong when you try to push your opinions on one another. There's a lot of people that hold grudges just because of who you voted for. I don't think that it is wrong to express yourself for what you believe in, but it is wrong to force it down someone's throat. This is with any career not just criminal justice. I see police officers with pro (presidential candidate) masks in the recent years because of Covid, I see teachers grading students assignments based on their opinions. My self, I was writing an essay in high school and I was graded unfair because it was a political essay, and she walked up to me and handed it to me with a 0 on the page and said "I don't know how to grade this because I don't agree with any of what you said. Doesn't matter if your republican or democrat you shouldn't try pushing it on other people no matter the career. Be that team player and like everyone equally and respect one another. I have a question for you, based on someone else's political views, has so ever used it like they did with me?

Everyday life comes with it's own set of politics. While most of the time when we talk about politics, we're talking about governing parties in which we the people elect into positions to make change and steer the country into a brighter future. The politics of everyday life are quite similar. The set of traditions, beliefs, and cultural upbringings provide us with our political agendas we use to make decisions that steer our personal lives into a brighter future. "The process and behavior that in human interactions involves power and authority" is how author David Bancroft-Turner defines everyday politics.

Establishing yourself as a team player is about being comforting and accepting in the work environment. To rely on those around you and make them feel they can rely on you. In certain professions this team player attitude gets directly translated in the field. Your colleagues should be able to count on your proficiency when needed. When political views or agendas get in the way of seeing eye to eye, it can cause big holes in that bond which is needed. It is okay for you to state your opinions and have healthy conversations with colleagues about these views. When these conversations become tainted with hate and arguments, distrust starts to breed. Respect is key in these situations. Because I do not see eye to eye with my coworkers does not mean in the line of duty I will not be there to give them a hand. Our differences should not divide us. Have there been any times where you had a political disagreement with someone and it resulted in an argument? Do you get upset when you see certain policial flags, catchphrases, or merchandise being displayed in your town? Have you ever changed your mind or changed someone else's mind after a political conversation?
