The Founding Fathers disagreed all the time, but found ways to compromise. Some of those compromises worked, and some of them, like how they compromised on slavery, didn't. Have we forgotten that our system is based on compromise? Has the world changed and compromise doesn't work as well as it used to? Are there some issues that don't allow for compromise?
