Judicial decisions are made based on many factors. One is facts. In order for a judge to make a decision fact should be presented strongly. When facts are presented, the judge will decide how the law will apply to the factual premises and whether the results are reasonable and just. Judges should consider all possible actions before coming to a conclusion.

Another decision-making factor is direct influences. Influences can come from politicians, friends and family and colleagues. The judge will base their ruling on the direct influences feelings and personal stance.

Precedence for cases from history that are relevant to the court cases when in proceeding. How other judges have ruled in the past. Similar to when comparing old cases and finding resolved in how they were rule upon. Then the power that is invested in the judges for them to define words. So, by deciding based on definitions, words do matter. Is a fundamental principle of a civilization that is prosperous based on how humans are able to communicate with each other. Personal worldview also affects judicial decision making. How faith or ideology may be reflected in decision making. To also consider the population to and how a ruling may be accepted or if it will be seen as improper. And finally, the discipline to make decisions by analyzing laws in a scholarly method that can be tactful and with knowledge.
