Scenario #2

You are the CEO of Otterbox, a Colorado corporation. Your business has expanded a lot over the past few years. You now have an opportunity to expand your business to sell smartphone cases in France.

After reviewing the learning materials in this module, prepare an initial post that incorporates these materials to answer the following questions. Also, your grade in this learning activity relies on your engagement in the discussion through your peer replies (two or more).

Topic Questions:

1. Regarding the first scenario:

   • What Nebraska agency regulates certified public accountants (CPAs)?

   • What types of regulations has the agency implemented for the accountancy industry?

   • What types of enforcement power does the agency have?

   • How would a person or business file a complaint about a CPA?

2. Regarding the second scenario, what types of laws would you need to comply with if you expanded into the French market? (Hint: think of the levels of laws rather than specific laws.)
