Discussion Superpredators

We know sayings like Get Tough On Crime or Drugs evoke emotion. In 1995 the Term 'SuperPredator' overtook the media. I would hear the term several times a day. How was the 'SuperPredator' defined? Understanding many laws and policies came out of this term and the predictions and understanding race, bias and racial inequities what did this term do?

Define Super Predator. Discuss the impacts of the term with regard to traditionally marginalized individuals. Are there impacts still today since the term was rebuffed by the authors in the early 2000's. Research and share the story of a juvenile effected by this.
