Discussion this week will take a bit more of an open format than the previous units. This week, you will be asked to put together both a list and subsequent analysis of developmental barriers that may be most applicable to persons in your specialization. Moreover, you will make some recommendations for addressing such barriers, in a way that is specific to your specialization. Be sure to include the following components in your discussion this week:

• At least three developmental barriers that individuals in your specialization are likely to experience.
• An analysis of how each of the identified barriers might affect clients in your specialization/field.
• Suggest at least three appropriate and effective interventions that can assist in working through the barriers that you have discussed.

After completing your discussion, respond to at least two of your peers. Include any suggestions you might have of how future clients could be affected by adverse childhood experiences. Add any additional questions you might have along with supportive academic resources.
