Cost Quality from a business point of view is what the company has paid to prevent poor quality from happening. Cost of quality breaks down its products or services and appraises the quality that its resources are bringing to the table. An example of cost of quality can be a large corporation having a audit of its factories machines to assure they are working efficiently and given the company the best return on the value it brings to the business. I currently work for a police department as a mechanic and we have several audits and inspections through out the year to make sure our equipment is safe and it is bring the best value to shop. For example, we just had an inspection on our automotive lifts and by doing this it eliminated a chance of it breaking down on us and slowing down our turn around times for vehicle repair.
