DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH THIS ANSWER? EXPLAIN Hadoop in its current form may not exist in 10 years. The framework that Hadoop is built on might not be relevant in 10 years. There will be continued rapid growth in data coupled with hardware advances. The need for storing and analyzing large amounts of data will only grow. Distributed computing and parallel processing popularized by Hadoop will continue to exist and evolve. But at the same time, Hadoop may not survive in its current form. We are already seeing a number of changes/ improvements in the core Hadoop ecosystem. MapReduce seems to be replaced by Spark and there are changes in the pipeline for HDFS. Due to the open source nature of Hadoop, there will be rapid developments. We are seeing an explosion of products like spark, Kafka and others. These products though work with Hadoop can also be independently used. There are competitors for Hadoop from Microsoft, IBM and Amazon. Some leaders think the emergence of Mesos (a framework to "program against your datacenter like it's a single pool of resources") dispenses for the need for Hadoop altogether. The pace at which technology is changing makes it difficult for one technology to last long unless it can adapt. Areas where Hadoop needs to adapt are implementations in public cloud, A platforms, speeder processing and less complexity. Having said that, companies have adopted Hadoop and like Mainframe that exist even after many years, Hadoop can evolve and stay relevant
