Do you agree with the way management handled these situations? Explain why. If not, what would you have done differently? Changing the menu at a popular restaurant can be a difficult planning operation so the restaurant's management brought up the topic at the employee meeting and asked for suggestions from everyone. Everyone felt that they were a part of making the decision and were happy to help. The servers not only made their own suggestions but also asked guests for their input for what they would like to see on the menu. A couple of weeks later there were lots of suggestions for management to consider. Many were items that had previously been specials. After looking over the sales and finding that these items had, in fact, sold well. Additionally, the items suggested to be taken off the menu had the highest amount of 'comps.' At a tasting for all employees they all tasted 10 different items and voted on which items to add and which to delete. The vote was unanimous as to which items should be added and deleted. The menu was updated the next week and the changes were a great success
