Do you have an excel example for teh following problem? Organisation F is a notforprofit organisation that sources food and capture donations and distributes it to those in needs. Each month it retrieves the food donations from locations and delivers it to one of the five facilities to be processed before shipping it out to the local communities. Each facility has a limited space to store the food. Due to the differences in equipment and resources, each of these facilities has a slightly different in efficiency in storing and processing the donated food, which results in a small amount of wastage summarised in the table below: Facility Capacity tonnes Efficiency per cent The cost of retrieving and transporting food primarily depends on the distance between the locations and the facilities. The following table summarises the distances between each location and each facility in kilometres: Facility Location Using historical data, the organisation estimates the volume of the donated food at each location in the coming month shown in the table below: Location Food Volume tonnes It will cost approximately $ to transport one tonne of food for one kilometre. The management would like you to design a solution that simultaneously maximises the efficiency in processing the donated food and minimises the transportation cost. They consider maximising the efficiency in processing the donated food to be two times as important as minimising the transportation cost.
