Douglas and Joan are married in North Carolina and stay married for 10 years. They separate and Douglas moves to South Carolina. After living in South Carolina for a year the length of time required by statute Douglas files for divorce in South Carolina. Joan answers,the parties go through the process and are finally divorced. After the divorce, Joan realizes that she is receiving less alimony under the laws of South Carolina then she would have received in North Carolina. May Joan now object to the divorce being granted in South Carolina?
