Roll the die 20 times and record in the appropriate slot on the worksheet the number of dots (called "pips") on the top of the die after each roll. If you cannot locate an honest die, or any die for that matter, click on this link: http://www.random.org/dice/Links to an external site.. It will take you to random.org's dice roller page. Since you will only be rolling one die, click the down arrow to choose "Roll 1 Virtual Dice." For the first case in your sample of 20, click "Roll Dice" and record the result. For your second case, click "Roll Dice" and again record the result. And so on until you have 20 results.
  3. What is your sample mean, i.e., the average die roll (i.e., the average number rolled - also known as the number of pips) in your sample of size 20? Round your answer to the first decimal place. Label it with "pips."
  4. What is your sampling error? Label it with "pips." Does your sample mean over- or under-estimate the population mean? (Are you having trouble figuring out the population mean? Review the Lesson 5 module; the population mean for this assignment is included on one of its pages.)
