Dr Dolittle works at Trumpton Town Hospital where he is treating 3 patients, Amin, Belle and Cecilia, who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).

Dr Dolittle has seen a video on YouTube where someone who says they are a scientist tells viewers that Covid-19 is caused by the 5G cellular network and that it can be treated by taking Viagra (a brand-name of a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction).

Amin is a 30-year-old male who is already prescribed Viagra and Dr Dolittle tells him to double the dose saying, "if you haven't had side-effects already a bit more isn't going to isn't going yo hurt".Amin makes a full recovery from Covid-19 but suffers a side-effect from the Viagra.The Viagra causes Amin's blood pressure and he suffers a heart attack and is unable to return to work for 6-months.It is extremely unlikely Amin would have suffered any side effects had the dose not been affected.

Belle is a 12-year-old girl.Dr Dolittle asks her, "would you like to take this tablet?It will make you feel better."Belle's parents are not there when Dr Dolittle asks but Belle says "if it will make me better then yes please."Belle takes the medicine.Belle makes a full recovery from Covid-19 and suffers no side-effects from the Viagra.

Cecilia is a 40-year-old woman and is pregnant.Cecilia does not want her husband to know she is pregnant.Dr Dolittle gives Cecilia a Viagra tablet telling her, "this is just a pain killer, it won't hurt you or your baby."

Cecilia reacts to the Viagra and it causes her to suffer a miscarriage.Cecilia becomes very weak and loses consciousness.Dr Dolittle wants to intubate Cecilia to help her breathing so speaks to her husband, he says "I'm sorry your wife has lost the baby and is now unconscious.I want to intubate her to help her breathe, is that okay?"Cecilia's husband is distraught that she had not told him about the pregnancy and assumes she must have been having an affair.He tells Dr Dolittle to "leave her to die" and leaves, slamming the door.Dr Dolittle decides not to intubate Cecilia because her husband did not agree to the treatment, she struggles to breathe and dies later that day.

Amin, Belle and Cecilia's family have all complained to the Trumpton Town Hospital Trust saying that they did not consent to taking Viagra.Cecilia's family have also complained that Dr Dolittle breached confidentiality.

The Trumpton Town Hospital Trust are considering disciplinary action against Dr Dolittle and have asked you to do a report detailing whether Dr Dolittle has breached any legal or ethical duties.
