The idea of this service came from Andy and Sam. The two guys recognized the business potential of linking prospective customers/clients with workers who can perform these household jobs and chores. With the popularity of smartphones and apps, they know that a client who needs help can find it quickly at fingertips. Andy and Sam have decided to start a company called ABC Company.

Nowadays, people are always looking for good recommendations for help with household jobs and chores, such as handyman work, cleaning, and moving. ServiceMatch will solicit workers who want to perform household chores such as cleaning, electricity, plumbing, shopping and delivery, handyman work, and moving. After a thorough background check, these workers will be connected to clients who need their skills.

Andy and Sam are hiring your team to help them to create data model and relational database management systems. The two guys need help from your team to create a prototype system using the software before porting it to an app and smartphones. Andy and Sam will begin by brainstorming your team about the data that needs to be recorded to run ABC Services.

First, clients need to submit personal information, such as their full name, address, phone number, email address, and credit card information for ease of billing. Workers also need to register after their background checks by providing their full name, home address, and email address. Andy and Sam envision that ABC Services will offer several types of services that clients can request: cleaning, moving, shopping, plumbing, electricity works, delivery, and handyman jobs.

Each service will be assigned a unique code, so that the system will not have to repetitively enter the exact name of the task when the system populates the database with appointments. In addition, each service will have a specific pay rate per hour. For example, a handymans services will bemore expensive per hour than those of a worker who makes shopping trips and deliveries. To begin, each worker in the database will be associated with one task he or she chooses to perform. In the future, the system can show workers that might want to perform more than one task, so Andy and Sam require your team to design the database to allow that possibility.

When clients call or eventually use the app to schedule a task, they will need to specify the worker they want, the date they need the task to be performed, and the start, and end times.
