The Urban Transportation Authority (UTA) manages a complex network of buses, trains, drivers, and passengers in a
large city. The UTA tracks details about various routes, vehicles, staff members, and passengers' travel patterns. Each
vehicle has a unique vehicle id, type, maintenance record and capacity. Routes have a unique route id, start and end
points, and schedule. Each vehicle is assigned to one route, but each route can be served by multiple vehicles. A new
vehicle can still be recorded even if it hasnt been assigned a route yet. Routes must have a vehicle assigned to them.
A Staff member is assigned a unique Staff id and we track their name, role, contact information, and work schedule. Each
staff member is assigned to exactly one vehicle, but a vehicle can have multiple drivers (due to shift changes). Vehicles
may not have a staff member assigned to them yet if they are new. Some staff members have people that supervise them.
In order to be considered a staff supervisor you have to be supervising at least one staff member.
Passengers are tracked with their unique Travel Card ID, as well as name, travel history, payment method, and phone
number. Each passenger has traveled on at least one vehicle and generally many. A vehicle normally carries many
passengers but may have no passengers on it when traveling due to safety testing. The date and amount paid is recorded
each time a passenger travels on a vehicle.
