Drug Cards: To ensure the safe delivery of pharmacological agents, the student is required to complete an index-card booklet containing pertinent information related to aerosolized agents such as Generic, Brand and Trade Names, Receptor(s), Dosage(s) & Concentration(s) if applicable, Mode of Delivery, Frequency, Onset, Peak, Duration, Indications, Contraindications, Side Effects, and Drug Interaction. DRUG CARDS BOOKLET is due Friday Week 3. (The following list is commonly used drugs, which a RCP should be familiar with. Although we do not administer all of them, they will have some effect on how we manage our patients and what can be expected. Please know the following regarding each medication: Classification, Generic & Brand name, Mode of Delivery, Mode of Action, Dosage & Frequency (highlighted drugs), Indication, Contraindications, Adverse and Side effects. An easy way to become familiar with these drugs is by creating index cards. It will become a great reference tool when at the bedside/clinical site.
