During a storm on Treasure Lake, a boat sinks, but its owner Corey survives. Corey plans to return to the site of the wreck to salvage its equipment and his possessions, but Corey delays. Meanwhile, Carole, an amateur diver discovers the wreck and strips it of all useful items. Corey learns of the recovery and files a lawsuit against Carole, claiming that the items found on the boat are his property. Carole responds that the sunken boat was abandoned and therefore she has good title to whatever she took possession of. What is the court likely to rule and why?
