During a televised debate of Question Time, one of the speakers, Anna, starts shaking her finger at Boris. Unfortunately, the wiring of the television studio is faulty because of carelessness by Care & Co, contractors to the BBC. As a result of the faulty wiring, Anna (through no fault of her own) catches a wire and electrocutes members of the panel: Boris, Arun and Busola. The sight is extremely gory.
Fred who is operating a camera very close beside them is physically unharmed but, as a result of the frightening experience, he develops a condition called post viral fatigue syndrome. For 20 years prior to the incident Fred had suffered occasional attacks of this condition, which now becomes chronic and permanent.
Two members of the studio audience are also affected by the gory sight: Gillian, Boris' wife, and Ali, a member of the public. They are badly shaken and suffer reoccurring nightmares and severe panic attacks about the incident. Gillian had suffered from severe panic attacks before but had received medical help and had recovered.
Arnold, another member of the public, runs immediately into the panellists table to try to save them, but it is too late, they are all dead. As a result of this attempt Arnold develops extreme adjustment disorder.
Arun's boyfriend Manuel watches the incident on television and sees him being electrocuted. He is overcome with grief.
Busola's husband Yomi is told of the accident and rushes to hospital. He sees his wife's body in the morgue four hours after the accident and, as a result, develops post traumatic shock disorder.
Anna is overcome with feelings of guilt and clinical depression about what has happened.
Advise the parties.
