During December 12-14, 2022 the international polling and predictive analytics firm Cygnal conducted a poll of 1,019 likely Republican presidential primary voters. The poll asked respondents who (among 11 Republicans with a national profile) they were most likely to support for the Republican Presidential nomination for the 2024 election.

The poll results showed that 40% of respondents said they supported former President Donald Trump for the nomination and 35% supported Florida governor Ron DeSantis. Based on this information, can we say there is a significant difference among all likely Republican presidential primary voters between those supporting Mr. Trump versus Mr. DeSantis at the time the poll was taken?
