During the past three years Consolidated Oil Company has converted a number of its petrol stations into Convenience Food Stores (CFS) to increase total sales revenue. Petrol sales have not been increasing and therefore it was decided to expand into related business areas. Chris Bishop, the general manager of the CFS Division, asked a statistician, Renee Payne, to assist with this analysis. Renee obtained a random sample of ten weekdays from each of three stores. The data collected was daily sales (in thousands of dollars).
