Dynamic Solutions Inc. ("DSI") is an engineering consulting company that typically bids on projects related to the creation of buildings of all sizes in both the government and private sector. Armina has been employed with DSI for 11 years. As Electrical Engineering Manager, she has responsibility for leading the company's projects in the London area. She has semi-annual performance evaluations and has been rated as fair to good. More recently though, she has not only started missing work, but is frequently late arriving to work. Brendan also works at DSI. He recently told Cameron, the Manager, that Armina has been intoxicated at work. Moreover, Brendan said that Armina has been involved in stalking a friend. Brendan was previously involved in a dating relationship with Armina. As DSI's business involves decisions concerning the safety of buildings, Cameron does not want anyone intoxicated at work. He is also concerned about allegations of illegal activity. He is therefore thinking of terminating Armina next week. You are a junior Human Resources consultant at DSI. Your boss, the Human Resources Manager, wants you to provide an opinion on the situation (specifically the potential termination of Armina)

Questions: 1. Explain the main legal issues. 2. Explain the legal liabilities/concerns (e.g. weaknesses) you see with terminating Armina. 3. What recommendations would you give your Human Resources Manager about Armina?
