(e) The following abstract describes a research project. Answer the questions below with reference to it. The Internet of Things (IoT) consists of ubiquitous smart devices, equipped with sensors, actuators and tags, that are connected to the Internet and able to communicate with one another. IoT is seen as providing opportunities for organizations to innovate and reinvent their processes. However, existing Business Process Management (BPM) tools are not fully capable of integrating and utilizing smart devices as process resources and, thus, cannot realise the potential. To address this, we propose a concept for a service-oriented BPM system architecture which is aimed at the modelling, implementation, and execution of loT-aware business processes. We also present the results of testing of a proof of concept system. i. ii. (4 marks) Explain what type of research strategy (i.e. common research approach) was used in the project. Explain what they mean when they describe their implementation as a 'proof of concept'.
