each question alone

Q1 (10 marks) Refrigerant-134a enters the evaporator coils placed at the back of the freezer section of a household refrigerator at 100kPa with a quality of 20 percent and leaves at 100kPa at 26C. If the compressor consumes 600W of power and the COP of the refrigerator is 1.2, determine (a) the mass flow rate of the refrigerant (b) the rate of heat rejected to the kitchen Q2 (15 marks) Argon gas enters an adiabatic compressor steadily at 100kPa and 45C with a velocity of 80m/s and leaves at 950kPa with a velocity of 150m/s. The inlet area of the turbine is 80cm2. If the power input to the compressor is 250kW, determine the exit temperature of the argon. (Cp of Argon =0.5203kJ/kg.K and R=0.2081 kJ/kgK)
