Each student is responsible for providing at least one piece of content that demonstrates one or more of the STEPPS principles of virality $($initial post by start of Module $11).$ Ideally it will be social media content relating to a brand, company, or organization $($most likely owned or earned media, but it'd be interesting to see some paid media in the mix$).$ It does not necessarily need to have "gone viral" in the sense that it's generated long chains of cascading shares, gets mentioned in the news, etc., as long as the content has seen substantially above$-$average sharing $($which can take different forms depending on the platform $-$ this could be sharing, re$-$posting, or unsolicited tagging in comments$).$

Ideally, at least some of your examples help demonstrate some of these secondary principles:

$1.$ Social currency: inner remarkability

$2.$ Triggers: not just time$-$based

$3.$ Emotion: contrast high$-$ and low$-$arousal

$4.$ Public: making the private public

$5.$ Practical: altruistic sharing

$6.$ Stories: showing rather than telling

This is essentially the exercise we did for persuasion, but I decided not to set up a separate Canvas assignment for your examples, as that felt a little cumbersome!
