Each student will interview the school board President and capture their thoughts in a 2 - 3 page essay. The following questions are to be used as conversation starters and should be addressed during the interview. Questions for the Board President - 1. How long have you been a school board member? Board President? 2. In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a good Superintendent - School Board relationship? 3. Describe a successful Board meeting? What are the key indicators of a quality Board meeting? 4. In relation to yearly evaluations of the Superintendent, what does the Board consider? Are there any particular items that are not specifically mentioned on paper but are considered as intangibles that board members appreciate as they relate to the Superintendent's performance? Is student achievement considered? 5. What is the typical length of a Superintendent's contract? 6. Any advice/suggestions for someone who aspires to be a Supt?
