1. Based on the products current price, do you think that the company is using a Demand-oriented approach, cost-oriented approach, profit-oriented approach or competition-oriented approach? Justify your answer with further details on the specific pricing strategies being used.

2. Is demand in your product category elastic or inelastic? Explain in your own words what the price elasticity for your product means and use the principles of price sensitivity to support your choice.


3. As part of their distribution strategy, companies must decide if they should pursue an intensive, selective or exclusive distribution. As discussed in relation to the 4Ps matrix, this choice should be made in alignment with other elements of the marketing mix (product, price and promotion) to ensure an optimal strategy. Which of these channel strategies is being used by the company for your selected product? Justify your response with information from the market about the current distribution strategies and discuss how this strategy aligns with other elements of the marketing mix.
