Assume no entries were made directly to the accounts receivable general ledger from the general journal. Dec 2 Sold inventory to Fashion House (Invoice #481) for $6,500 cash. The inventory had a cost of $2,786. Dec 7 Received a loan from the Victoria Bank for $8,000. Dec 14 Sold inventory to Michelle's Invoice #482) on account for $8,600. The inventory had a cost of $3,440. Dec 18 Sold inventory to Dress Me (Invoice #483) for $9,100 on account. The inventory had a cost of $3,761. Dec 24 Received full payment from Michelle's for the sale on December 14. Dec 31 Received $32 of interest earned on a savings account Required a) Record the above transactions in the sales journal and the cash receipts journal. b) Post the appropriate transactions from the journals to the subledger accounts. c) At the end of the month, total the journals and update the accounts receivable control account.
