Next,the lab partner holding the ruler released it without warning and we were to close ourfingers as quickly as possible to catch the ruler. After each trial, we documented the dropdistance depending on where our fingers were aligned on the ruler for fifteen trials intotal. Once the fifteen different measurements were obtained, we calculated the averagedrop distance in-order-to calculate our reaction time. Finally, after converting our dropdistance from centimeters to meters, our reaction time to the dropping of the ruler wasfound by plugging our drop distance into the time formula provide
