Ebenezer Scrooge, one of the most well-known, mean-hearted and wealthiest men living in 19^th century London, England, has just had one hell of a night. On Christmas Eve, he was visited by 3 spirits the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. These 3 spirits demonstrated to Mr. Scrooge in a most convincing fashion the error of his mean and miserly ways.

One of the people he sees is young Timothy Cratchit, known to his friends and family as Tiny Tim. In fact, young Mr. Cratchit has never been examined by a doctor.

Ebenezer claps Tiny Tim firmly on the back and says, Dont worry my lad, I will pay for you to receive the very best medical care available. Come to my office tomorrow and Ill take you to the doctor myself. Tiny Tim is beside himself.

Tiny Tim arrives at Mr. Scrooges office the next day as instructed, but instead of being met by the exuberant Mr. Scrooge who had promised just yesterday to pay for his medical care, he meets the same gruff, miserly Mr. Scrooge that the entire City of London had come to know. It appears that on Christmas Night, Mr. Scrooge was visited by a fourth spirit the Ghost of Youre Going to Go Broke if You Keep Giving Money Away who convinced Mr. Scrooge to quit being so charitable. Mr. Scrooge tells Tiny Tim to bugger off and slams the door in his face.

Tiny Tim is angry in a big way and sues Mr. Scrooge for breaking his promise to pay for his future medical care. Can Tiny Tim recover contract-based damages from Mr. Scrooge under these facts?
