Eckerd Intl. Corp. Hired Dawson, a gay man. Some of Dawson's co-worker's including his

supervisor made derogatory comments about his sexual orientation. Dawson's work

deteriorated. He filed a complaint with Eckerd's human resources department. Two days later,

both Dawson, and his sister Lisa, also an Eckerd employee were fired. Lisa had, one month

earlier also filed a complaint that as an African-American female, she was being discriminated

against because the company paid her less than a white male co-worker in the same department.
