Mastering of the Paradoxes of Negotiation Another important aspect of the process is mastering the key paradoxes by sticking with the principles and strategies set before the negotiation process started. It is also important to focus on value creation to the supply chain operations of companies operating in the country rather than just claiming value (Martinez, 2020). The government should also adopt an honest, open, and trustworthy negotiation based on the premise of walking away using the set best alternative to the negotiated agreement. Considering Intangibles A critical component of the negotiations is also taking into consideration the intangibles and constantly asking questions on the proposals by other negotiators (Lewicki, Saunders, Tasa & Barry, 2017). It is important to identify the value created by any proposal in the negotiation regardless of the source. This would involve the inclusion of an observer in the negotiations who shall be responsible for listening and taking the smallest of details in the proposals made. The management of any coalitions in the process is also as important as the analysis of the proposals (Manak & Lester, 2020). Identication and Management of Coalitions It is critical to identify and manage all the coalitions, for example, those that support the proposals by the Mexican government as well as those against the same proposals. It is also important to take into consideration any undened coalitions that are highly likely to produce a proposal that might materialize
