Hi, We have some changes being introduced across the business and redundancy selection procedures will need to be applied. I realise some of the management teams are nervous about knowing how to select the correct employees, without breaching the law. I have two employees currently pregnant, and I think they would be keen to take advantage of redundancy and I would also like to add them to the redundancy list, as I know they will be unavailable for at least a year. Could you please draft some guidance on how to select employees for redundancy?

Please explain and advise, what factors need to be considered when devising a redundancy selection-criteria and whether there any risks with my suggested approach?
