Read the informal "how to ask questions" document, written by Drs. Steve Lindsay and Ira Hyman - it's designed for conferences but might help you feel confident in class.

Outlines: Outline all of the major sections of the paper, including the introduction, methods, results, and discussion.

a. You should aim to provide about one bullet point per paragraph. i. You should also provide about a bullet point per table or figure. ii. You do not need to outline the abstract or the references sections.

b. Your outline should paraphrase what you have read in your own words. You should not be regurgitating what the author(s) wrote word-for-word.

MAKE SURE All sections are outlined in sufficient depth Students are not simply regurgitating content but are paraphrasing in their own words
