Employees at ABC Manufacturing began a unionization campaign, in part, due to dissatisfaction with their pay and benefits. During a one-on-one conversation, an employee expressed concerns about joining the union to his supervisor. He said, "I don't know about this whole union thing. As much as I would like to get paid more and have better benefits, I am worried that management will just up and shut down the whole plant." The supervisor replied, "I am worried about that too, you know they shut down another plant that was unionized and moved the operations overseas, where they didn't have to worry about unions
