Employees within an organization can have their performance deteriorate for several reasons and sometimes they are due to internal/external factors such as harassment in the workplace, a traumatic event, taking care of an elderly person at home, etc. The employees who are experiencing events and/or factors that are affecting their mental health may have their performance deteriorate due to the stressors and/or the employee may display behaviours that under normal circumstances they would not display. How can you provide a quick assessment for the leadership/management to determine the level of support/interventions to offer? Usually, management/leadership has a bit of a hard time determining how and when to intervene with an employee, and the support to offer an employee.
