Entities are extremely important in databases and they take on many different forms depending on how they are being used in the database. We do typically think of entities around the entity relationship diagram we discussed during the first week. However, during that first week, I mentioned that although having an ERD is important, often times this documentation does not exists and has never been created. Yes, you could create an ERD using SSMS or a third-part tool, but is there another way to get information about the entities and their attributes in a database? Is this possible? If so, how do you think you would get this information and can you provide an example?
