Equitable estoppel:

a. is the imposition of an amount of child support that is fair and equitable

b. cannot lead to a child-support obligation by a non-biological parent

c. may lead to a child-support obligation by a non-biological parent

d. applies when the voluntary conduct of a person will preclude him or her from asserting rights against another who did not rely on the conduct but would suffer damage or injury if the person is now allowed to repudiate the conduct.
