Equity for women is a global issue. We have yet to achieve equity for women in the workplace. One significant example is pay equity. Women continue to make from 60-80 cents for every dollar a man makes for similar work. Some have suggested that it is because women do not negotiate their salaries as well as men. I have primarily focused on pay equity because it is a longstanding, well-documented inequity. It's easily observed.
