ER Emily Romero Nov 7, 2023 at 12:49 AM Out of all five components of the police mission, the one that sticks out to me the most and that is the most important to our society nowadays is ensuring peace and tranquility. I feel that is the most important because there are times when someone is convicted of a crime that they did not do and the justice system can't do anything to help them. Not only can it ruin someone's life but it could even cost someone's life. If there was life without peace there would be riots and there it may even come to the point where no one would be able to preserve domestic peace and tranquility.1. This is due to my belief that this component acts as the base for the other components listed and if law enforcement agencies are focusing on this specic component as a result the other components will be focused on as well. Also without laws being imposed, there would not be clear guidelines of what is considered legal and illegal for police ofcers to base their decisions and actions on. Reply
