Eric Janz was just arriving back from lunch when his office phone rang. It was his wife, Laurie, calling from

home. Laurie told Eric that Fed Ex had just delivered a package addressed to her. The package contained a

beauful painng, now sing over the fireplace. In fact, Laurie said, the painng looks absolutely

beauful on our living room fireplace. Thinking the painng was from a family member, Eric asked who

sent the present. She said she did not recognize the namethe painng was from Mr. Mitch McEnroe.

Eric immediately told Laurie that she had to repack the painng because it was from a supplier who had

been trying to win business from Erics company. They definitely could not accept the painng. Laurie was

very upset and responded that the painng was perfect for the room and, besides, the painng came to

their home, not to Erics office. Because of Lauries atachment to the painng, Eric was unsure about what

to do.
