Esperanza finds a stray dog. From the dog collar, she learns that the dog's name is Yukon, and that he lives at 444 Lupus Lane. She goes around to Yukon's home and leaves the dog in the yard. Because the owner is not home, she leaves a note for Yukon's owner. The next day she gets a voice mail message from Zilko, the owner, thanking her for Yukon's return. A few days later, Esperanza sees an old advertisement posted on a billboard in which Zilko offers to pay $500 to anyone who returns Yukon. Esperanza returns to Zilko's home to claim the $500 reward. Zilko refuses to pay.
