Services R Us, Inc. is a large organization that is comprised of many divisions, each with its own well-known brand name. Their mission statement is: The mission of Services R Us, Inc. is to provide the ultimate in quality nancial services throughout the world. This will be accomplished by melding the needs, aspiration, development and goals of our entire staff with those of our customers. Each division, or brand, is a well-known nancial service organization (accounting services, investment services, home mortgages, etc.). Services R US, Inc. coordinates all of the advertising for each of the divisions. Advertising avenues for the company are yellow page ads, newspaper and magazine ads, and television commercials. They are the largest purchaser of advertising space in the U.S. and enjoy the benets that come with that type of purchasing power. Services R US wants to develop an advertising management system that supports \"role- based security\". Enabling role-based security will support a system that allows each of the divisions, as well as employees at the corporate ofce, to view specic \"approved\" information for their role. Once an individual logs onto the system they should be able to see relevant client information, franchise information (i.e., brand/division), or corporate information, and modify certain sets of data. The goal of the system is to facilitate communication between franchises (or brands) so that they can develop overlapping services and marketing campaigns. The company also wants to support collaboration between the individual franchise owners and the corporate ofce, especially in developing advertising campaigns. Currently the corporation decides when and where to advertise, as well as the size of the ads and the information that will be included. The strategy of the organization is to increase the sharing of information in order to enhance collaboration between franchises, each division at Services R Us Inc, and the corporate ofce to achieve its goal of launching more effective marketing and advertising campaigns As a member of the project team you have been assigned the task of organizing the requirements gathering/determination process. You are to develop a plan for this project requirements gathering/determination process. State any assumptions that you make and be sure to address the questions below in your plan (the answers to the following should be based on the material that we have covered in class, and guided by your thoughts about how to handle the situation described above). Your plan should address the following: A. What are the steps you will follow in developing your overall plan for the requirements gathering/detennination process? 1. What information will you need to review and consider in order to develop your requirements determination plan (the goal of this question is to articulate how you would gather the information that you need to just begin to put the overall plan for going about the requirements determination process, NOT the actual determination process itself). 2. Which entities would you need to collect information from and why? What type of information do you think you would need to collect from each entity you listed in question b and why? 4. Several members of your project team will be conducting various requirements gathering activities. Since you have conducted the analysis (question 1) and proposed a plan for the requirements gathering process (question 3) you now want to have a discussion with your team to make sure that everyone has the same understanding of the requirements gathering process and the techniques to be used. Assuming that conducting interviews is part of your overall plan, develop a "guide" for your team that specifically articulates the appropriate way to set up and conduct interviews to gather requirement. F. Define a JAD session? Discuss the general considerations that should be made when determining who to include in interviews and or JAD sessions, and then specifically describe the five major steps in conducting JAD sessions. Describe the primary roles involved in JAD sessions. What is the major contribution made by the person(s) fulfilling each role? G.
