Ethical dilemma assignment Weight 35% Length: 1500 +/- 10% words Write a 1500 word essay, discussing the legal and ethical issues that arose in your chosen scenario. The task is to discuss the legal and ethical issues that arise in your scenario, with consideration to be given to duty of care, professional practice standards, mandatory reporting and any other relevant law or regulation that has been discussed in this unit of study. Consider the ethical dilemmas for the nurse as well as how other stakeholders have been impacted. In doing so, you must apply and demonstrate an understanding of one of the decision making frameworks covered in this course, with a justification for the model you have chosen. Finally, please include a personal reflection on the issues, reflecting on how what you have learned from this scenario might be included in your future practice. You must use quality, primary sources of information. Primary sources are the original source of information, not a summary that someone has written about someone elses work. Please use the resources section of this unit for further information on this. Sources must be good quality, academic sources. This does not include Wikipedia or WebMD for example. In fact, most website sources will be secondary sources. Please use the most recent like the last five years references from Australia first. Please use in-text citations in all references or evidence. All writing that is not your own idea should be referenced. You are required to use APA 7 referencing. Information about referencing and further assistance on this can be sought from the University library website. Presentation - attention to brevity, clarity, and sequencing of information. Writing - spelling, grammar, paragraph and sentence structure and use of terminology that meets academic standards. Written in narrative form, i.e. avoiding dot points and lists.
