Evaluation should be an ongoing process throughout the supervision relationship, with formative and summative feedback of the supervisee's development and skills occurring at specific points. Ideally, evaluation is a two-fold process since supervisees should be given opportunities to evaluate the clinical supervisor's skills and knowledge, as well. In the supervision role provide the explanation in regard to due process in supervision. Explain the remediation, mentoring, and student development for Ann's behavior in the case study. How confident and effective do you really perceive yourself in this role? What will you need to do to develop the competence needed to recommend a supervisee for licensing?
