Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening there is a drop-in center for young people between the ages of 11 and 16 at Strays & Waifs, a local community center. It is run by a team of youth workers employed by Mitzi.

Markus is a youth counsellor at the center. He is busy setting up the hall for the evening's activities when he slips on a puddle of greasy water from a leaking air-conditioner unit and breaks his wrist. He had reported the leak to his supervisor Muggsy, over a week earlier and it had not been fixed. Mitch, a youth worker at the center, and Markus' partner, sees him fall. Frustrated by Muggsy's lack of action, Mitch punches him in the nose.

Myra works at the center kitchen, making snacks and drinks for young people. She is using an air fryer to make some chicken and chips, when some sparks fly from the machine and enter her eye. The air fryer had been serviced two weeks earlier in accordance with the provisions of the Kitchens Safety Act 2002 [a fictitious statute] when states that 'all moving parts in machines and mixers must be maintained' Advise the parties
