EWhen starting the practicum, my major goal was to gain hands-on experience in what goes on in the field. I was excited at the opportunity to apply what I have learned in class theories to provide excellent care services. I am happy that I gained a lot of relevant experience and learned skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and leadership skills. I believe I have also improved my communication and problem-solving skills. In the future, I feel confident about my abilities and progress. I also formed a mentoring relationship with other experienced medical staff. I was happy to be under their guidance, and I hope this is the beginning of the path toward building a professional network that will be of help when transitioning from school life to the job market. I am glad that I did not encounter major challenges during the entire length of the practicum. However, I was faced with a few patients that were a bit difficult. One had anger issues and blamed his boss for his bad health. This hindered treatment and recovery as he often despised the drugs given to him. I was, however, able to manage the situation by keeping cool and showing empathy
