A mass of 500 g of gaseous ammonia (polar gas) is contained in a vessel of 30,000 cm3 volume and immersed in a constant-temperature bath at 65C. Calculate the P of the gas by (a) the ideal gas EOS and (b) 2-term virial EOS (with Pitzer correlation for B). Given that the actual experimental P is 23.82 bar. Compare your answer with actual P. Give the reason why virial EOS can be applied to polar gas in this case.
