Explain what factors you, as manager, would consider before deciding whether or not to manufacture shoes in Nesia. (25 points) 3. On February 1, Brenda bought a used computer from Leroy's Laptops, a store in NYC which specializes in used electronics. Brenda orally agreed to pay Leroy $50 per month for six months. Brenda made the first 5 payments in a timely fashion. On July 1, when the final payment of $50 was due, Brenda did not have enough money to pay Leroy. a) On July 1, Brenda called Leroy on the phone to say that she did not have $50 and asked if he would please agree to accept $30 as full payment instead. Leroy immediately replied, "Yes, of course, I agree". Brenda paid Leroy on July 1 and on July 10, Leroy sued Brenda for what he argued was the remaining $20 owed to him. Judgment for whom? Explain. b) INSTEAD OF THE SCENARIO IN (a) ABOVE, assume that Brenda called Leroy on the telephone on July 1, and said that she did not have the full $50 but that she was willing to pay $30, and in addition, would make a post on Facebook that would read; "Hey Facebook friends: if you ever need a used computer, try Leroy's Laptops. Great place. Click here: www.Leroy's.com" Leroy orally agreed that this would discharge the entire debt. The next day, Brenda sent Leroy $30. She also made the Facebook post as promised. Unfortunately, none of Brenda's friends clicked on the link on her Facebook page and it did not result in any additional business for Leroy. Leroy then decides to sue Brenda for the additional $20.
