According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the 3rd quarter of 2020 saw a massive recovery of 33% increase in GDPfrom the 2ndquarter of 2020 which saw anunprecedenteddecline in real GDP of 33% due to the Coronavirus pandemic.The average GDP growth for 2019 was just under 2%

In the second quarter, real GDP decreased 31.4 percent.
